During my recent stay at Shangri-La, I had the opportunity to indulge in their culinary offerings, which are certainly noteworthy for any food enthusiast. The hotel features a rooftop terrace restaurant that provides an inviting ambiance, perfect for breakfast. Each morning, I was greeted with an array of fresh ingredients forming hearty dishes, ideal for fueling my explorations around the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. The diverse menu showcased not only traditional Nepali flavors but also a range of Indian, Chinese, and Continental options. One highlight was my delightful dinner, where I savored a beautifully prepared local dish that reflected the region's rich culinary heritage. The staff were attentive, always ready to assist with recommendations or accommodating special requests. While the restaurant achieved a pleasant atmosphere, the sounds of the city occasionally filtered through. Nevertheless, dining al fresco on the rooftop, I found comfort in the stunning views and the cooling breeze, compensating for any ambient noise.
